The startup that arranged to have private chefs cook dinners at home for customers shut down this week amid fierce competition from better-funded companies like Blue Apron and Plated and delivery startups like DoorDash and Caviar, reports Re/code. The NYC-based firm had raised close to $20 million from Tiger Global, Spark Capital and Union Square Ventures. Founder and CEO Chris Muscarella declined comment to Re/code but the site currently has a message that reads:
We are unfortunately ending service and discontinuing operations after April 15, 2016. Thank you for your support throughout the past four years.
