A year late and 77% over budget

NASA is having some trouble with the launch software for its deep space-traveling Space Launch System, which is set to be the most powerful rocket ever built by the space agency. A report from ABC News says that the project is more than a year behind schedule and may cost more than $207 million, or 77% more than expected.

But, since this is the project most likely to carry humans to Mars in our lifetime, perhaps we can forgive the skyrocketing costs. RP
