Square Just Open Sourced Their Sleek Credit Card Identifier

Paste this code into your site, and those credit card drop down menus can be a thing of the past.

Every now and again, you still end up at a checkout page asking for you to select Visa or Mastercard, and to type your numbers into tiny fields separated by dashes. *shivers*

Apparently, the payment processing giant Square feels our pain, because they’ve released their JavaScript code for a field that automatically identifies and converts any string of numbers into a bonafide credit card. It’s called FieldKit. Grab it here.
