It’s official: Jon Stewart’s last day on The Daily Show will be August 6 and Trevor Noah will take over on September 28 . . . sunrise, sunset, sun-emotional breakdown.

The South African comedian was at the center of controversy in April when the announcement that he’d be the new host of The Daily Show was quickly accompanied with tweets he made years ago that came off as misogynistic and antisemitic. Fellow comedians like Patton Oswald and Stewart himself rushed to Noah’s defense, and Comedy Central made it clear it had no intention of replacing Noah. If things didn’t seem official then to all the Noah naysayers, they are now, with this new trailer announcing his “sexy” debut:
