Outside the chaos of SXSW, the Fast Company Grill was a place to kick back, get something to eat, and unwind–with a few surprises.
A telepresence robot showed up to the party on Saturday night (we’re still not exactly sure how it got in). And Elijah Wood made an unexpected appearance on a panel with Rainn Wilson to talk about The Boy, a new horror film the two worked on that follows the childhood of a future psychopath.
Woodford Reserve provided whiskey drinks at night. Gevalia Kaffe provided iced coffee drinks in the morning. There was also that odd period in the afternoon when people were consuming both. And it was easy to tell which by their performances on the car-driving virtual reality demonstration.
A good time was had by all.
