Following Court Ruling, Turkey Unblocks Twitter

Turkey’s telecommunications regulator has unblocked access to Twitter, two weeks after the country’s prime minister promised to “eradicate” the microblogging service.

The move from Turkey’s Telecommunications Board comes a day after the country’s constitutional court ruled that blocking the social network violated freedom of expression and individual rights. Twitter had been blocked in the country since March 21.
