JEFF DIANA: Generosity is key, because people that give that extra effort make long-time employees, they’re highly engaged, they create great customer experiences, they innovate more–there’s a whole series of research that proves that point out. So I do think when you go through and screen people for hiring in particular, rather than just looking at technical skills and work experiences, this sense of ‘Do people want to put all of themselves into the job?’ and ‘Do we have a way to meet those needs?’ creates an environment of generosity and that circle is self-feeding.
