"There are a lot of scenarios where you can play outsourcing to your advantage. A few are, if you have something sort of new you want to experiment with on the side. Maybe something that's not core on strategy or with a new technology that you don't have in-house. You can play around with it with an outsource team and then once it takes off, invest in it in-house.
