New observations indicate that the hole in the ozone layer over Antarctica is shrinking. The European Space Agency announced that the ozone hole is shrinking to a record low. Scientists at the European Space Agency believe the increase to the ozone layer’s health is due to the recent phase-out of CFCs.
In 2011, the federal government enacted new, ozone-friendly tech regulations; Fast Company also reported on changing smog regulations at the EPA.
