Tiara is originally from Johor, Malaysia but currently resides in Brisbane, Australia. She is fiishing a Creative Industries degree at QUT, specializing in Creative Writing and CI Management. She wants to be a KaosPilot in Arhus, Denmark.

Tiara's true passion is alternative education; she firmly believes that there is much more to learning than just the four walls of school, and that everyone has the right to pursue their dreams through their own ways of learning. She shares her passion through her blog, EducateDeviate (http://educatedeviate.wordpress.com), and writes up about it in various presses.

She also aims to live such a life by pursuing related opportunities, such as travelling internationally for a semester with Up with People, being part of the ActNow Incubator, and signing up for as many youth conferences as possible. Tiara is also passionate about youth issues, human rights, multiculturalism, and anti-discrimination issues. She worked in the QUT Student Guild for a while and volunteers extensively.

She also writes, spends a lot of time online, travels, performs, experiments, and tries nearly everything that looks a little bit intriguing and perhaps a lot crazy.
