It sold 151,084 vehicles, a 50% increase over its April 2008 results, and is planning to open a new factory within the next few years. Back in Detroit, GM is in bankruptcy and falling into a multi-billion dollar, government supported death spiral.

Single Payer Is No Silver Bullet for Health-Care Reform
In my last article, I said that transforming health care in the U.S. requires an act of will, not an act of congress. Solutions exist today that can make health care better, faster and cheaper IF you make people responsible for their health-care spending and saving, empower them with better information and incentives, enable them with Web technology and offer global options.

Lessons in Health Care From Giorgio Armani
Some months ago, the International Health Tribune ran an interesting story about how some of Europe's leading luxury goods companies are shifting manufacturing from Europe to Asia. In the case of Giorgio Armani, some of their product lines are made exclusively in Asia. On the face of it, this is a totally unremarkable story--yet another company/industry outsourcing to save costs. But there is more.
