Over the past two decades,
Nils Carlsson has been a leader with a number of international telecommunications and information technology companies. Currently, Nils Carlsson serves as the Group Chief Operation Officer for the Paris, France-based Netbooster Group. From this position, Mr. Carlsson oversees all of the company’s European markets. He supervises eight Managing Directors and sits on the board for twelve of the company’s subsidiaries. Over the course of his involvement with the company, Mr. Carlsson has held several CEO positions, overseeing markets in Sweden, Denmark, and the United Kingdom.
Mr. Carlsson began his career in 1994 as a Senior Project Manager with the Swedish company Dynapac. One year later, he accepted a position as Senior Product Manager for the Swedish mobile phone operator Europolitan. During his tenure with the company it grew from fifty to 500 employees, and its turnover skyrocketed from 300 million to 1 billion Swedish kronor.
In 1998,
Mr. Carlsson became the head of Marketing and Business Development for Vodafone. His efforts once again led to substantial growth. He took a year off in 2000 to serve as the Marketing Director for Starthouse, then returned to Vodafone as the head of Product Development. From this role, Mr. Carlsson successfully launched ten new services that earned more than 900 million SEK. In 2003, Mr. Carlsson became the company’s Director of Business Services. He left the company in 2005 to accept a position as Vice President of Product Sales and Marketing for Telenor. His careful management brought the struggling company from losing money to profitability. Mr. Carlsson joined Netbooster Group in 2006.
Mr. Carlsson holds a Master of Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. In his free time he enjoys running, skiing, and playing golf.
