Lieutenant Colonel Martine Kidd is from Seattle, WA and enlisted in the Army Reserve as a Supply Specialist in August of 1989. After graduation from Methodist College in May of 1994, she was commissioned as a Quartermaster Officer.
Her first assignment was as a Supply Platoon Leader and Battalion Adjutant in 7th Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, Illesheim, Germany. During this tour, she also deployed to Tazar, Hungary in support of Operation Joint Endeavor. After attending the Officer Advanced Course at Fort Lee, VA, and the Combined Arms Staff Services School at Fort Leavenworth, KS, she was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, NY where she served as the 710th Main Support Battalion Operations Officer, Commander of the 590th Field Services Company, and later as the Division Support Command Logistics Staff Officer. In July of 2002, LTC Kidd attended the Logistics Executive Development Course (LEDC) / Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) at Fort Lee.
After completing LEDC/FIT in August of 2003, LTC Kidd served for 23 months as the Aide-de-Camp for the Commanding General of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) in Dallas, TX, also volunteering to deploy in support of AAFES operations in Kuwait and Iraq.
Beginning in July 2005, LTC Kidd attended the Command and General Staff College (CGSC) and the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS). In April 2007, she deployed to Iraq again, serving for 14 months as the Logistics Planner in the 3rd Infantry Division during the much publicized “surge” led by General Petraeus. Next, LTC Kidd returned to Fort Leavenworth, and assumed duties as a Logistics Instructor for CGSC. Later, she was selected as the Executive Officer to the Deputy Commandant / Deputy Commanding General for the Combined Arms Center.
In July 2010, LTC Kidd deployed once more in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn, and served for 10 months as the Executive Officer to the Deputy Commanding General for Support, United States Forces-Iraq. In June of 2011, Martine assumed command of the Defense Logistics Agency-Energy Americas East Battalion, in Houston Texas. In this role, she is responsible for strategic fuel support for all Department of Defense forces operating across the Eastern half of the United States, the Caribbean, Central and South America.
LTC Kidd holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Methodist College, a Master of Science in Logistics Management from Florida Institute of Technology, and a Master of Military Arts and Science from the School of Advanced Military Studies. She is a Distinguished Military Graduate from Methodist College, the Distinguished Military Graduate from LEDC and the Distinguished Master Logistician for her CGSC class in 2006.
Among her awards and decorations are: Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary and Service Medals, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, the Iraqi Campaign Service Medal, and the NATO Medal. She has also been awarded the Quartermaster Corps Order of Saint Martin, the Basic Parachutist Badge, Parachute Rigger Badge and Australian Jump Wings.
