Martijn Sjoorda started his career in the supply chain industry in 1990, leaving the industry as owner of a logistics services company. In 1997 he started a mobile computer applications division for AND International Publishers NV, and served as Business Development Manager. Subsequently he held management positions for an IT and management consultancy company Avalix NV, where he was in charge of turn-around and integration projects. During the past seven years he has worked as a consultant on strategy, leadership development and M&A for various companies such as Unilever, Nuon and Lucent. Martijn studied in Rotterdam and has followed a range of post-grad programs in the field of program management & systemic change, among others the MIT programme on Dialogic Leadership He served on the board of the Society for Organisational Learning and was editor for the Dutch editions of "Presence" by Peter Senge et al. and "Who Really Matters" by Art Kleiner. He regularly lectures at business schools about organisational learning and breakthrough change. His first book “The Alchemist’s Toolbox” is due to be published shortly.
