Martijn Sjoorda
Managing Director, dialogic*
Velp
Martijn has been fascinated by how relationships and dynamics work between people since his youth. David Ogilvy -the original "Mad man"- has strongly influenced his deep interest for future visioning and commercial entrepreneurship.
After an initial period in his career a supply chain manager and business unit manager of a large IT consulting firm, ending up in Post-M & A integration, he has focused his professional practice on the human dynamics of change.
As an independent consultant and trainer, he works intensively with the life changing work of David Kantor, a master family therapist from the US, and Martijn’s mentor for many years. Martijn has developed a specialist practice in guiding team dynamics in the real business context of organizations. He is a gifted process and program designer for large scale change initiatives and leadership journeys. He facilitates change with role-modeling that suits the context & needs of clients.
While working with large corporate clients such as Unilever, DSM, Schiphol and Deloitte, Martijn further developed his way of working, a school of change consulting strongly linked to Peter Senge’s MIT labs for Organizational Learning.
As dialogic's MD, Martijn is responsible for the cutting edge innovation of its curriculum & practice. He is the editor of the Dutch edition of "Presence" by Peter Senge, Joe Jaworski, Otto Scharmer & Betty Sue Flowers and "Who Really Matters: The Core Group" by Art Kleiner.
Martijn speaks six languages and works in Dutch, English, German and French.
