With Bachelor’s Degrees in Commerce and Political Science (honours), and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Kris Hans is a force to be reckoned with. Born in Coleman, Alberta, he has lived and worked in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and India, bringing experience in account management, marketing, and business and operations.
Complimenting his versatile education, Kris has gained a wide range of experience in banking, technology, and the non-profit sector. From 2000 to 2003, he worked as Director of Business & Operations at the Art Gallery of Calgary (AGC), where he was instrumental in consolidating its position as the largest non-collecting contemporary art institution in Canada; through diversification of the AGC’s revenue, negotiation of strategic partnerships, and the introduction of innovative programming that drew increased attendance from the coveted 18-35 demographic. Kris has also worked as the Senior Business Adviser for Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), and later moved on to develop his own consulting practice, INFORMED DECISION (ID), in 2003. Kris also taught entrepreneurship and marketing from 2005-2008 at Mount Royal University’s Bissett School of Business in Calgary, Alberta, and speaks both Hindi and Punjabi.
Having played on both sides of the agency/client face, Kris brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to Market Grade, and knows his way around high level strategy down to the details of execution.
