On the professional side, my associates and I help entrepreneurs and other leaders who want to master growth, transition and succession to get results faster, less painfully and in ways that work for them. This happens through consulting, coaching/mentoring, speaking, and/or training. On the personal side, I love to cook, ride my bicycle, read, walk along the waterside, read and engage in spirited debate. As a ccncer survivor and long time entrepreneur, I believe the best is yet to come.

CEO, Advent Management International, Ltd
Private, 21-50 employees, Consulting industryClients count on my associates and me for "C" level input and assistance in mastering growth, transition and succession. This takes the form of executive coaching/mentoring, speaking & training, management consulting and some investment banking functions. My job is to get the ball rolling, working with the client to craft the right approach for them, then either doing the work myself or building, deploying and overseeing the right team for the engagement. The idea of a "virtual company" with a depth of talented independent contractors was given to me by my mentors, Peter Drucker and Myles Mace, who advised me to leave my post at the American Management Association, get good talent under contract and help clients shape their futures. I started doing this in 1978, making changes through 1991, then folding all of it into my current company in 1992. In these past 30 years we've been blessed with great clients, wonderful mentors and talented associates. As I begin to "productize" more and more of our best practices, I never forget to count those blessings.
