For almost thirty years, Jim Pontarelli has operated at the intersection of business, government, and society. As a practitioner, he has navigated many well-known, controversial social responsibility issues: expansion of nuclear power, tobacco industry settlements, food additive labeling, alcohol regulation, pharmaceutical product liability, and environmental regulation of consumer goods manufacturing and packaging. Jim has served as an aid in the United States Senate, as Director of Corporate Policy for the world’s largest consumer packaged goods company, and managing director at the world’s largest public relations agency. He has managed extensive primary research projects focusing on corporate reputation and social responsibility. Today, he serves as President of RDW Group, Inc., where he serves as advisor, facilitator, and strategic planner, helping organizations focus their mission and brands, and driving value-based performance. Jim has a degree in political science from Providence College, an MBA from the University of Rhode Island, and attended the Columbus School of Law at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. He serves on the National Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program and is a member of the Society for Organizational Learning.
