Mr. Plaisted is the advisory for General Partner William (Bill) H. Draper III. During his tenure, Mr. Plaisted has invested in companies based in Asia, Europe, and India. Mr. Don Plaisted graduated from the University of Mississippi and took a Senior Manager post at Deloitte & Touche’s Enterprise Risk Services Group. Before joining Draper Investment Company as Director, Plaisted advised companies on Information Technology solutions. With more than 13 years in management roles, Mr. Plaisted offers business solutions for portfolio companies and tracks emerging markets and segments for Draper Investment Company.
One of America’s most prominent venture capitalists, William (Bill) H. Draper III is General Partner at Draper Investment Company. Starting his career first, with his father and then with Pitch Johnson, Mr. Draper founded and took position as Senior Partner of Sutter Hill Ventures in Palo Alto, California, where he invested in several technology companies. President Reagan appointed Bill Draper Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. Bill Draper then served as CEO and Administrator of the United Nations Development Program. Earning his Bachelor of Arts from Yale University, Draper went on to the Harvard Graduate School of Business, where he graduated with distinction.
