I am currently Senior Art Director at Worktank, a marketing consultancy in Seattle, Washington, where I help create artful, relevant design solutions for challenging projects with an amazing team of graphic designers, motion graphics artists, and Flash designers and developers. I also maintain a blog called Change Order that explores the business and process of graphic design, branding, user experience, and sustainability marketing. I've served Fortune 1000 clients in the hospitality, high-technology, financial services, and travel and leisure industries. On the side, I've enjoyed applying my industry knowledge as a designer and copywriter for smaller boutique companies in fashion, music, fine dining, and high tech industries. When not at work, I create fine art photography, write, and play drums in bands around Seattle. I live in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle with my wife, the photographer and writer Mary Paynter Sherwin.
The future of design is not design. The future of design is embracing change.
