Dan originally graduated from UWE Bristol’s school of architecture. Since then, he has worked solidly within the realms of branding, design and communications. Starting out in advertising, Dan received a good grounding on the importance of brand consistency and messaging working with a number of luxury FMCG brands, including Polo Ralph Lauren, Lindt & Sprüngli and Swiss watchmaker Berney-Blondeau.
In 2002, Dan joined brand implementation specialists Harkess-Ord. During his time with the company, he worked alongside many of the world’s most well-known creative agencies, developing branded installations and interiors. Dan was later seconded to HO’s New York office to assist the rollout of the new brand identity for the global pharmaceuticals firm Smith & Nephew and also worked on the implementation programme for Wachovia, the third largest consumer bank in the US.
Dan has worked and collaborated with a number of specialist brand design agencies, including: Wolff-Olins, Interbrand, Landor and most recently FHD. He has a proven ability of building task specific teams to focus on brand identity co-ordination and communication across multiple platforms, business units and regions. His clients have taken him around the world — working extensively throughout Europe, Scandinavia and the Americas.
In addition to branding and design Dan has an interest and passion for Film and has formally studied Film Production Management. He is also a supporting member of the British Film Institute (BFI).
