In 1993, Curtis Hougland founded one of the first new media agencies, Attention, where he helped early pioneers such as AOL, Amazon.com, Time, and Microsoft market through nascent ISPs, Bulletin Boards and Forums.
Curtis established the new media practice at Ruder Finn, and ran a 150-person digital communications consultancy at Euro RSCG through the 1990s. In 2001, Curtis founded Film Movement, the first company to release films simultaneously in theater and on DVD.
Most recently, Curtis re-founded Attention, a highly successful social media-marketing agency. Attention pioneered the integration of social media measurably across the customer journey, path to purchase, client organizations, and integrated paid, owned, and earned media, globally and locally.
