Bio

As the founder and CEO of Writers of the Round Table Inc and Writers of the Round Table Press, I work with successful men and women to realize their goal of pioneering a life-changing conversation through the creation of a book. Once people have reached a level of financial security, they begin thinking about their legacy and adding more meaning to the world.  As business people, they realize the need to monetize their brand. We assist them in achieving that result organically. Our clients embark on a two- to three-year journey where they actualize their dream through the development of a story-based book that delivers their important message to a massive audience. Because we recognize that developing the story is only part of the journey to success as an author, we then guide them through the creation of a comprehensive branding, marketing and PR campaign around their message, utilizing their book to introduce them as a pioneer in the marketplace.     Corey Blake President, Round Table Companies; CEO, From the Barrio Foundation Corey Blake’s writing and visionary work has been published in Writer and Script magazines, and has been featured on Fox News, NBC5, Sacramento and Co, WGN (2x’s), and in print such as Young Money, Hoy, La Raza, Hispanic Executive Quarterly, MovieMaker magazine, Dance Spirit magazine, Backstage West (3x’s) and Hollywood Scriptwriter magazine. Prior to writing, Corey worked in Hollywood as a commercial and voice-over actor starring in campaigns for McDonalds, Mountain Dew, Pepsi, Wrigley’s, Hasbro, Miller, Mitsubishi and the infamous Yard Fitness, where Corey plays basketball naked. Corey also appeared on shows such as The Shield, Fastlane, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Diagnosis Murder, Joan of Arcadia, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch before he produced The Boy Scout and Redirect and directed and produced Gretchen Brettschneider Skirts Thirty and Unsuitable, all for Elevation 9000 Films. He is the co-author of EDGE! A Leadership Story (finalist, National Best Books 2008 Awards) with Bea Fields and Eva Silva Travers, Excalibur Reclaims Her King with Angelica Harris and From the Barrio to the Board Room with Robert Renteria. Corey is the Executive Director of the From the Barrio Foundation. He and co-author Robert Renteria are collaborating with the Chicago Public School District on a curriculum to be rolled out nationwide.
