Benjamin Madu – Senior Consultant and Head, Training and Knowledge Development, H. Pierson Associates Limited Madu is an Akintola Williams award winning accounting graduate with good accounting and financial control experience and a unique mix of skills spanning over 15 years. He started his career in audit and management consulting working with the firm of Uba Umeevuruo and Co., Chartered Accountants and later worked for several multinationals in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) where he rose to the level of Deputy General Manager before joining H. Pierson Associates as a Senior Consultant. Madu is best described as Mr. Versatile having experience that traverse the areas of business management, accounting and financial control, treasury management, system analysis and design, strategy development and implementation, project management, budgeting and budgetary control, knowledge and information management, brand management and creative thinking, Enterprise Resource Planning, human resources management, Mergers and Acquisition Advisory, Corporate transformation as well as process re-engineering. He has attended several on-shore and off-shore certification and intern courses that include Retail Banking School, Credit Analysis, Quality System Management, Process Review and Re-Engineering, Change Management, financial advisory and business strategy amongst others. At H. Pierson Madu has headed several strategic business units that include Business Support Group (Financial Control, Admin., Conferencing and HR) and Financial and Business Advisory Group. While heading the Financial Advisory Group, he supervised the merger of several banks during the consolidation exercise and led several due diligence and valuation assignments for client banks. He presently heads the Training Solutions SBU where he has brought in a lot of innovation including competency based training. Madu is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a Fellow of the American Academy of Financial Management, a Certified Credit Analyst and holds an MBA in International Business Management.
