Avil Beckford, originally from Jamaica and President of Ambeck Enterprise, is a skilled researcher, analyst and writer. A published author, her new book Tales of People Who Get It is a culmination of her research, analysis and writing skills. She has also created a companion guide, Journey to Getting It. Specifically, her experience includes conducting interviews, creating assessment tools, finding and evaluating information, synthesizing data from a variety of sources, analyzing findings, and preparing written reports. Her work for one client appeared on the front of the Wall Street Journal. Avil also publishes Ambeck Edge, her company’s e-Newsletter and edits e-Connections, The International Alliance for Women’s e-newsletter. Prior to starting her business, Avil worked as Director of Research for Drake Beam Morin, Inc., a multinational human services firm. Having lived in three countries – Jamaica, Canada and the United States – and having traveled to China, Avil understands multiculturalism.
