I'm pretty much what you would get if Alice in Dilbert got fed up and went to law and business school to figure out how to fix our broken workplaces. I had a long stint in IT before career-switching into advocacy work around making jobs better. I believe that work-life balance is one of those issues that linguist George Lakoff calls "strategic issues," that is, issues that affect many other issues. If people could remedy their pervasive sense of being starved for time, they could be more engaged citizens, be better parents, and even be kinder to the environment.
