Andy Enwistle

Major (R)

Retired Army major Andy Entwistle is from Needham, Massachusetts and was
commissioned as an Ordnance officer through ROTC at Northeastern University
in Boston in 1985.

As a junior officer he served with the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson,
CO. Following the officer advanced course he was assigned to the 2nd Corps
Support Command in Nurnberg, Germany, and during Operation Desert Storm
was
deployed in Saudi Arabia as the commander of the 45th Ordnance Company.
After command he served as an advisor to the South Carolina Army National
Guard and attended the Logistics Executive Development Course (LEDC) /
Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) at Fort Lee, VA, where he earned his
masters' degree in logistics.

In 1995 he served a tour with the Office of Military Cooperation at the US
Embassy in Cairo, Egypt and in 1998 joined the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort
Hood, TX, serving as a battalion executive officer and deputy division G4.
In 2001 he moved to Albany, NY, where he served for six years as a
recruiting battalion executive officer, retiring in 2007 with over 22 years
of service.

After retirement Andy continued to serve the US Army as the public affairs
chief for the Albany Recruiting Battalion. In 2009 relocated to Fort
Leavenworth, KS, where he is an operations planner in the Combined Arms
Center Leadership Development and Education organization.

In addition to his bachelors' and master's degrees, Andy is a graduate of
the Army's Command and General Staff College as well as the Defense
Information School's Public Affairs Officer Course. His awards include the
Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal which represents 11 years of
volunteer firefighting service.

His son is a sergeant on active duty and served in Afghanistan with the 82nd
Airborne Division.
