A. i believe they certainly did and are as far as network/service - just sitting back taking in the money, little-to-no R&D. luckily apple broke into the telecom market to help push product...

Comment: agreed april, when it comes to companies like apple where products AND marketing/design create cool. its too bad we probably won't ever see an experiment with an established brand like Coke drop...
