Ben is the founder of Orange Studio, a Vancouver-based, award-winning multimedia production firm. Grew up in Mainland China, educated in London and Vancouver, he speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin.
Over the course of the past five years, Ben has won 13 Canadian national awards with his television commercials as writer / producer / director, in a field that only can he enter his English language work (the other half of his work bulk is in Mandarin & Cantonese). His fluency in different cultures not only enriches his work but connects him with a large network of friends and business associates from different walks of life and parts of the world. Right now his focus is a motion picture project he's co-producing with two other producers.
Ben programmes for the London Chinese Film Festival (UK), organizes the annual Hollywood (China) Film Festival in Vancouver. He also advises Sawa Global, a social activism body, sits on the board of Pangea Art and recently produced a visually stunning video for Seva (Canada). His recent charity work also includes producing three shorts on the prevention of domestic violence.
Ben is married to Julie, a Salt Lake City native, travel writer & art magazine editor. They just celebrated their daughter's one year birthday.
