Bio

I could give you list of things I have done, but to make my point succinctly, let me just point out for major accomplishments in my working life:

Four Major Lifetime Achievements

  1. Electronic Warfare doctrine in the Amphibious Operating Area - 1984. Developed doctrine for USMC amphibious operations to enable control of electromagnetic spectrum during opposed amphibious landing. My team selected and tested equipment, and wrote all training and operations doctrinal material. This doctrine is now standard in the USMC. Supervised 5 personnel.

  2. Acucobol World Wide Web delivery of sales support material - 1993. Password and SSL protected area of Acucobol web site provided all sales material (brochures, data sheets, slide shows, etc.) to National and International sales force. Supervised 3 personnel.

  3. SAN for General Dynamics - 1996.This project resulted in a backup & restore product that could backup & restore all server platforms (Unix/NT/Novell) regardless of content, from a centralized system. This effort required coordination with multiple vendors, disparate system managers for multiple platforms, in addition to careful management of client expectations. Supervised 13 personnel.

  4. Founded Social Sector Service Delivery - 2006. S3D is a consulting group whose social sector arm is dedicated specifically to Social Sector (non-profit and NGO) consulting by applying Business Process Re-engineering discipline to Social Sector activities and projects.

S3D is a consulting group that is dedicated specifically to Social Sector (non-profit and NGO) consulting by applying Business Process Re-engineering best practices to Social Sector activities and projects.

Our Mission

Saving social sector activities money, time and sanity by aligning organization activity goals with standardized performance management "best-of-breed" processes.

Company Profile

Simply put, S3D will solicit projects that can be re-engineered as follows:

Using the information gathered in the due diligence phase of an assessment, the Social Sector Process Re-engineering (SSPR) team will develop an "as is" model. Using the "as is" model and information on performance-driven businesses in the public and private sectors, the SSPR team will develop a "to be" model that shows how improvements can be made. The "to be" model will be shared with outreach and local staff in scheduled meetings. From that model, a change management plan will be developed detailing incremental implementation changes to conform to the "to be" model to achieve improvements in customer service, performance, quality and cost.

The deliverables may include:

  • "As is" discovery and identification of quick wins
  • Documentation of baseline costs
  • "As is" documentation
  • Identification of best practices
  • Definition of high-level "to be" business model
  • Design of detailed business processes in the "to be" model
  • Change management plan
  • Change management implementation plan
  • Training in financial discipline appropriate to Social Sector activities.
