WORK:

I moved to New York City in 2006 after completing 2 years at Dawson College's professional design program in Montreal.  I am a graphic designer with Mansueto Ventures working in the digital department.  I also have a BSc in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University.

INTERESTS:

I am interested in art and how it relates to science. I love my dog, and would like to design clothes for animals.  I love working on projects with my hands and when I paint I often glue and sew things to the canvas as well.  I like the challenge of putting things together with no instructions.  Finally, I have always been interested in the origins of everything - for example, why are M&M's called M&M's? Why do we say 'rule of thumb'?  And why do only women wear dresses and skirts (generally)?

GOALS:

To learn more about american economics, to master the french language (spoken/written), to use my creativity every day to the fullest, to better myself physically and mentally and try to live in the present.

OTHER:

I also love discovering new and cool design resource websites. Here are a few that I troll through for ideas, articles, newest products etc.:

products: http://designglut.com/

article about evolution of tech logos: http://www.neatorama.com/2008/02/07/the-evolution-of-tech-companies-logos/

A. No, the biggest reasons people buy on the Internet is for convenience, and lower price in general. I don't think the lack of sales tax on items is a big reason people shop online instead of in...
