Here's your opportunity to add an asset to your team: a seasoned change agent with an extensive background in organizational development/innovation, change management/culture change, strategic planning, and training; a George Land World Class Innovator Award recipient; and an Innovation University Fellow. I'm the closest thing ther is to an expert on "cultures of innovation".
I'm proud to have been a key player on teams that developed and led processes that included complex change initiatives operating on many levels, such as:
* Creating the organizational culture, developing external consulting packages as a second revenue stream for a .com startup.
* Taking one of the largest organizations in Chicago (35 locations; 5,000 employees) from 20 years in the red to 5 in the black; from 20 years of membership losses to 5 of double digit increases; more than doubling its budget to over $100,000,000/year putting it into the non-profit equivalent of the "Fortune 100"; and more than tripling its number of people served to over 1,000,000/year.
* Reducing production R & D time for a custom plastics extrusion company by up to 50% through knowledge management recommendations.
* Substantially reducing error rates and increasing accountability by developing job descriptions and procedures for a major messenger service. Significantly increasing productivity at that firm through the design of a transfer point at the edge of downtown.
I have led large and small scale turnaround and culture change initiatives as both an internal and an external OD practitioner. I am one of very few people trained in implementing Dee Hock's Chaordic Theory, and I have developed a new organizational diagnostic tool, the "Molecular" Model (see my article at: http://www.virtualstrategist.net/Issue5/5-2-1.HTM). For several years, I maintained a consulting practice specializing in the areas of training, organizational development/effectiveness, methods and procedures analysis and design, and the Targeted Jobs Tax Credit (TJTC). I have always dedicated this wealth of experience toward enhancing growth and profit through increased organizational health.
I have performed organizational studies and needs assessments of small to medium sized companies; designed and facilitated focus groups and training, communications, team building, creativity/innovation, management and strategic planning workshops for all levels of staff and management; developed policies and procedures; and supervised, hired, and fired up to 60 staff. I have also written training manuals, job descriptions, and operating procedures.
