Megan Fitzgerald is an expat career, entrepreneur and branding coach and the founder of Career By Choice. She empowers expats to use their personal brand to build a career or business that 'fits' who they are and their international, mobile lifestyle.
It is the unique combination of her creative, entrepreneurial approach, her extensive global experience and training, and her passion for helping others do what they love while living where they want that has helped her clients find more freedom and success in their professional lives. As Megan believes that developing your professional network on- and off-line is essential for the global professional, she enjoys connecting with colleagues, peers and collaborators from San Francisco to Seoul via many online communities and networks. She is also a member of several professional associations, including the International Coach Federation, the Career Management Alliance, and the Association of Career Professionals International.
Megan is active in community service and donates a percentage of her total income to The Global Fund and to life saving programs around the world fighting AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. She is a member of Kiva.org, or a "Kivan", and supports entrepreneurs in developing countries through small microloans. Currently she is supporting a woman in Samoa to raise kava, and important element in Samoan culture, to support her family.
When she is not being of service to her clients, Megan enjoys exploring her expat hometown of Rome, international travel, modern art, independent film, salsa dancing, vipassana meditation and a caffè macchiato to start her day.
