In case you missed it, the Litl Webbook is a unique "cloud-based netbook" with only 2GB of local storage, a presumably Linux-based custom OS, and a 12-inch display that bends over into "easel mode." Here's what it looks like action:

HP Pavilion dv200, wave pattern for HP's Imprint Finish designed by Lunar

I bumped into my friend Lori recently and noticed that she had a new PC--a notebook computer from HP sporting graphic patterns that my firm, Lunar, had designed with them. When I asked her about what her checklist contained when she set out to buy a PC, we ended up talking about her list of technical requirements.

Alienware's M17X Is the Antithesis of a Netbook

Alienware has been hinting at the release of its new gaming laptop with a cryptic "All Powerful" campaign. But it looks like someone at the company didn't speak to marketing, and released info on the M17X anyway. It's a monster.

Puzzle Piece: The Laptop for Autistic Kids

Teaching a child with autism can be an exercise in frustration--for both teacher and child. But designers at the Boston office of the design firm Continuum have developed a teaching aid--still in the concept stage--that could go a long way toward solving some of the problems that currently plague the process.

How To Love A Netbook

It's the holidays, and that means offering peace and clemency to your nemeses. Or, in my case, coming to tolerate -- even appreciate -- a netbook.

I didn't think it was possible at first; every UMPC I've used has felt cramped, slow, dim, and barely Internet-capable. I spent many a plane flight with a netbook in the overhead compartment, tapping away memos and emails on an iPhone. Then I started using Asus's 10-inch Eee PC.

Sony Teases With Revolutionary New Laptop: Is It A Vaio Netbook?

Dell's apparently ultra-thin laptop Adamo teaser campaign from last week is joined by an even more intriguing one from Sony. It bears little more than a swishly-photographed Vaio logo on a shiny-looking black device, and the words "On the 9th of January you will change the way you look at laptops forever."

But what about the other invaluable products in our lives -- our gadgets?

Apparently no one at Asus [TPE:2357] sleeps, because the Taiwanese manufacturer just keeps announcing new notebooks at a pace that even a late 90s Robert Downey Jr. would find frighteningly fast. This time around its the new F8Va, released for the time being only in Korean markets, but coming to the US soon.
