Olympics are right around the corner – August 08, 2008. You can almost feel multinational companies vying to be in the mainstream ad revenue. Olympic Games are to the world what Super Bowl is to United States. With NBC streaming live content in the United States, Madison Avenue advertising executives are sitting at the edge of their seats, trying to create last minute campaigns. Or are they?

Make Every Day Father’s Day – Go Hang Out with Your Kids!

For many of us busy dads, balancing business and family is a daily challenge. That’s why Father’s Day is a good reminder to set aside more time to hang out with our kids. Not only do we need the break, but quality time with your children can go a long way.

Someone shared an article with me that showed that children with involved, loving fathers are significantly more likely to do well in school, have healthy self-esteem and avoid high-risk behaviors such as drug use, truancy, and criminal activity compared to children who have uninvolved fathers.

Managers for crises

Better management should be the primary objective of organizations in the 21st century. Without a substantial improvement in the organizations that govern us, this probably will be the last century of our cosmic uniqueness. The problems facing organizations today demand a five star manager at every level.

3-Steps to Take Control of Your Business

The following three simple steps are your key to getting very organized and taking control of your business.

Step #1: Break-down your business into departments.

Departments serve one function: They categorize related processes so they can be managed efficiently and effectively. Every organization, regardless of size or stage of development, needs to categorize roles into departments. It is a prerequisite to creating a scaleable operating structure and delegating your responsibilities, responsibly.

If You Feel Like a Prisoner in Your Business, Here's Your "Get Out of Jail Free Card

You won't believe the conversation I had with a successful business owner.

The owner has made millions of dollars. He lives in a beautiful home in one of the richest neighborhoods, and do you know what he told me?

He told me he wants to quit! He wants to get out of his business.

He feels his company has robbed him of his life. He feels like a stranger to his family and he's tired of the constant hassles with customers, vendors and employees.

Management Infrastructure (Belive it or Not) is the Key to Your Success!

Have you ever wondered why it’s so hard to breakthrough from one level of success to the next? Your business grows to a point and then stops dead in its tracks. It’s beyond frustrating.

Your first thought is to beef-up your company’s marketing efforts. You hire outside consultants. You build a new website. You invest in expensive brochures. You spend a fortune of money and still you can’t breakthrough.

Your expensive consultants shrug their shoulders and move on to their next victim. Meanwhile, you pay their bills and wonder what went wrong.

How are you effectively dealing with a tyrannic, autocratic leader in your organization?

In every organization, it is often inevitable to produce an autocratic leader (manager) who tends to orchestrate everything the way he wants things done. When things go out of their way it's not just him who gets to suffer the mess and the negative consequences. Thus, making you frustrated and unmotivated.
