Loyal employees are not born.
Their organization creates them. In searching for some examples, I met Ann-Marie

why she loves her work and why she stays where she is.

Risk and Reward on a French Water Slide: is your business making a splash?

Starting a business is always risky. For those of us who’ve
started successful businesses we’ve had to balance risks and the promise of
rewards. Sometimes you feel the fear but do it anyway, because if you don’t do
it, there will be a part of your life that never gets lived.

There are other risks that we take that seem to have nothing
to do with our work life but the risks we take in our personal lives are
intertwined with the risks we take in our business.

I confess that there are some weekends where I sit at my computer writing or researching for hours to meet client deadlines or catch up on work. The last time I did this, a colleague who knew I consulted on life/work balance issues decided to remind me that when I'm gone my son wouldn't remember me for how good I was at work but whether or not I attended his Saturday baseball games.

The Value of the Remote or Virtual Personal Assistant

Office space, equipment, benefits, taxes, and salary all contribute to additional overhead for administrative assistant positions that companies do not need to keep in-house. Scheduling appointments, booking travel, and working on Microsoft Office products can all be done remotely with today's technology. It can also be done less expensively than having a full-time

Denver Dog Walking and Delegate Source

On April 9, 2009, 11 dogs were up for adoption at Project Ruffway. Delegate Source was one of the sponsors of the event. Over 350 people attended the event and hopefully those dogs found a new home. I almost came home with one that looked like a fluffier version of my dog. All in all, it was a good cause and a few more people learned about Delegate Source as a result of our sponsorship.

When I told a colleague that I was going to take two extra days for myself in the interest of life/work balance after I was done working in Florida, she was aghast. “How can you consider that life/work balance when it means you’ll be away from home and family? “My idea of work/life balance is to stay home with my husband and daughter,” she proclaimed.”
