Orbitz: Secretly Advertising Gay Rights?

Most big, mass-market companies won't come anywhere near social issues, for fear of the protests and counter-protests and fake controversies they spur. So it's rather amazing that Orbitz, in its current ads, makes a very subtle nod to the gay-rights movement. Check out the commercial, and try to spot the rainbow flag on one of the golf bags, and the logo for the Human Rights Campaign that adorns one of the golfer's shirts:

19 of the Best Super Bowl Commercials, Plus 1 That Won't Even Air

Everyone knows that if your team isn't in the Super Bowl, the biggest (perhaps only) reason to watch are the commercials. Some companies have decided to leak their own Super Bowl spots online so ad geeks have something to drool over before Sunday night. Fast Company has just about all of the currently available spots right here. Keep in mind, each of these commercials cost their companies $3 million to run.

SoBe

Fast Food Ads = Fat Children?

A causal relationship between fast food ads on TV and obesity rates in children has been established. This according to a study conducted by the National Bureau of Economic Research, which revealed that a fast food TV ban for children's programming would reduce obesity rates by 14-18%, with effects being more pronounced for males and younger children.
