Samsung has invested $50 million into Pantech, the number three phone maker in South Korea, in return for a 10% stake. The move reinforces Pantech's finances and also gives Samsung a boost in its home market.
Although the big reviews of Samsung's "good not great" smartphone came out yesterday, the Korean firm says it is struggling with demand for the S4. AT&T customers will get their phone on Saturday, as planned, but providers Sprint and T-Mobile have had to delay their on-sale dates.
