I am currently a Biomedical/Biological Sciences & Computer Science
double major student from Michigan. On campus, I have had past
leadership and/or active involvement in my university's CKI (Kiwanis),
Student Council, Academic Senate - Research & Technology,
Biomedical Engineering Society, and CAMPUS HOPE.
- My academic interests are primarily in integrating biomedicine with technology and computer science. I would like to work in medical devices, research & development of products and software, or in medical education. I am currently partnered with a European development group
to lead a initiative for a quality management and administrative
assistance medical software platform for multi-touch and language/voice
recognition interfaces. We hope to develop low cost alternatives of our system for remote areas, developing nations and rural and small hospitals.
- I am also interested in Web 2.0 opportunities and internet-based
start-up ventures. My background is in web design, publishing,
professional networking, robotics, biomedical engineering, medical
technology, and project/presentation management with past awards in
state/regional business competitions, business plan/technical writing,
and digital media. My current independent project is in innovation incubation, venture launch and professional development for university students.
- In my free time, I enjoy snowboarding, photography, cooking & dining, fencing, soccer,
writing, design, paper art, language & culture study, and
children/health ministry.
