Bio and Interests: Glenn Ballard

Glenn Ballard is a "rising star" within the DC area.  He is a nationally recognized leader in the field of Information Security and Business Operations. He has an on-going record of accomplishments as a senior advisor and consultant on issues of security, cybercrime, computing policy, and business operations to a number of major Fortune 50 companies, law enforcement organizations, Federal agencies, and start-ups;  including Best Buy, State Farm Ins., AXA Financial, Instinet, SafeCo, Sainsbury UK, NewsCorp, United States Postal Service, General Services Administration, National Institute for Standards & Technology, Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife, Center for Medicare & Medicaid, United States Department of Agriculture, and many others.  

As a leader and innovator at both small and large organizations,  Ballard gained  experience directing and implementing work in software engineering, cyber protection, distributed computing, information security, identity & access management, digital , computing policy, and technology solutions design. Including architecture experience in President Bush’s information security mandates.   His accomplishments cross multiple industries:  Government, Retail, Communications & High Tech, Insurance, Media & Entertainment, Financial Services, Products, Marketing, and Natural Resources.

Glenn is currently a Director at G&B Solutions where he manages high profile projects ranging from a few thousand to multi-million dollar efforts.  He currently leads a staff of and.  Previously, he worked at a smaller DC-based consultancy and at multi-billion dollar industry leader, Accenture.   Mr. Ballard has a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology from the College of William and Mary.
