Rovio Plans Animated Angry Birds Movie For 2016
As yet untitled, the film will star Red Bird, Black Bird, Pigs, Pigs, and Pigs.
Rovio [3] is hurling an Angry Birds feature film [4] at its fans in 2016, led by producer John Cohen, who was the producer of Despicable Me. Also on board is David Maisel, whose previous experience in flight-themed motion pictures came as executive producer of the (largely wing-less) series, Iron Man.
Rovio says it is producing and funding the movie on its own, rather than in partnership with a big studio.
