P-TECH students used balloons, drinking straws, masking tape, pencils, and other office supplies to build rockets.

The P-TECH Mentors Day was part of Engineers Week, a worldwide series of IBM community events.

Emotions ran high as the "rockets" hit the wall or fizzled out.

Students were learning about collaboration as well as rocket propulsion.
