Music is a big part of who I am. I grew up playing in a jazz band and have DJed ever since I was in high school. One station that has always been a huge inspiration to me was KCRW in Santa Monica. On a recent business trip Josh and I got to stop by and browse their record archives.

Besides being obsessed with building products, I love to cook. I'm always struck by the parallels between creating dishes and products; the idea of creating something captivating that captures your attention and draws you in has always intrigued me--products do this, and so does a good dish.

I was walking by Dolores Park in San Francisco one night as the sunset. Twilight was something that just seemed right to capture in the moment.

On a family trip back on the East Coast, we visited the church where my grandparents got married. She had just recently passed away, so it was an important moment for my family. I was particularly struck by the light through the stained glass windows.

Sometimes rainy days are the most beautiful in unsuspecting ways. We were on our way to the airport and I loved how the drops of water looked on the window and mirror.

Sunsets are something that have fascinated people forever. I just happened to be out on the street in the Lower Haight in San Francisco to capture this one. It's the everyday moments that make Instagram special, and this one was perfect.

How cool is it that a huge tree can grow with absolutely no soil around it? It seemed like such an improbable place for a tree, and I wanted to capture the uniqueness of the situation.
