A historic shot of the Northern Warehouse, in the Lowertown district of St. Paul, Minnesota. Artspace converted the building into 52 live/work loft spaces for artists, with commercial space on the first two floors. It has been housing artists for more than 20 years.

Artspace went on to complete 30 additional live/work developments in 21 U.S. cities. Here's one in Washington D.C.
Artspace has two more developments opening this fall, two more under construction, and another dozen in the pipeline. Here's a forthcoming renovation in Memphis.
In Loveland, Colorado, Artspace plans to repurpose the historic Loveland Feed & Grain Buildingand build a new live/work project next door.
In East Harlem, Artspace plans to transform a former public school into a mixed-use arts facility, including as many as 90 units of affordable housing for artists and their families.
And in New Orleans, Artspace hopes to convert a six-building, two-block campus into a multifaceted arts facility.
