Stewart Butterfield is a Canadian entrepreneur who cofounded and helms the team messaging app Slack. He also founded the photo-sharing website Flickr, which was acquired by Yahoo in 2005. Two years after its public launch in early 2014, Slack boasted more 30,000 teams as users and a valuation of more than $1 billion.
