Soraya Darabi


At the tender age of 23, Soraya Darabi--then manager of digital partnerships and social-media marketing for The New York Times--played travel guide to Gray Lady as it learned to navigate the foreign landscapes of Facebook and Twitter. An alumnus of (acquired by Facebook) and Foodspotting (acquired by Open Table), in August 2013, Darabi and fellow co-founder Maxine Bédat launched Zady, an omni-channel fashion brand for men and women that positions itself as an "anecdote to fast fashion" by focusing on quality, design and product origins.
