Paola Antonelli

Curator, MOMA

One of Fast Company's Masters of Design, Paola Antonelli is the senior curator of architecture and design at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA). From her perch, Antonelli has the power to make or break designs and designers alike--but she's a populist, as likely to wear accessories by Target as by Gucci. She's deeply ambivalent about the recent elevation of design to the level of fine art, preferring to celebrate workaday marvels such as the Q-tip, the Post-it Note, or the wire whisk--all documented in her 2005 book, Humble Masterpieces.
