Chris Hughes

A Harvard roommate of Mark Zuckerberg, Chris Hughes has helped create two of the most successful startups in modern history: Facebook, and the campaign apparatus that helped get Barack Obama elected. Both were dedicated to the proposition that communities, and the way we share and interact within them, are vitally important. In 2012, he purchased beltway magazine The New Republic, and now serves as its publisher and editor-in-chief.
