Brain-controlled interfaces are making progress, just as Siri copycats are proliferating, suggesting that developers will have access to a surprising spectrum of different UI-less interface paradigms to watch in the next few years.
BP has leading experts formulating solutions, and is there a greenhorn (or many) in the room? Getting the opinion of the subject matter experts is reflexive in any problem solving situation, but what about the absolute amateurs?
Another great bringer of inspiration has passed. Arthur C. Clarke was the author of several famous science fiction works, from 2001 to Rendezvous with Rama. I have written that Gary Gygax inspired others to creativity. Clarke did that as well, his Childhood's End remains one of my inspirations into the field of fiction.
