Alex Rainert

Head of Design

Though Alex Rainert earned a degree in philosophy, after six months on the job at Razorfish, he'd taught himself enough programming to become a front end developer. Back in graduate school, he and cofounder Dennis Crowley created Dodgeball.com, a precursor to Foursquare, for his master's thesis. It was later acquired by Google. Until 2013, Rainert was head of product at Foursquare.
