Lavalier Alves holds a degree (with honors) from Northeastern
University where he majored in Accounting. Mr. Alves furthered
his education by completing his Professional Masters in Business
Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
He speaks both Spanish and Portuguese.

Mr. Lavalier Alves is presently employed by Berkshire
Development. He serves as the controller and has been there since
early 2000. Berkshire Development, LLC is a leading real estate
development company based in Massachusetts. Lavalier Alves was
born and raised in New England and currently lives in Wilbraham,
MA. Before being hired by Berkshire, Lavalier Alves was the
Finance Manager at Big Y Foods, Inc a grocery chain headquartered in
Springfield, MA.
In addition to his relevant work experience Lavalier Alves is also a
CFM - Certified in Financial Management, as well as a CMA - Certified
Management Accountant. Lavalier Alves is currently a board member
of the Oscal Hillel Plotkin Family Foundation, and also is a member of
the Institute of Management Accountants.
Outside of work, Lavalier Alves stays busy with his two young
boys. They can often be found frequenting a Red Sox game in the
summer or a Pats game in the fall. He also finds time to
participate in a regular tennis league, and volunteer his time with
several charitable organizations.
